On Thursday, Mount Carmel CEO visited Wabash Valley FS at their offices in Grayville with CEO Alan Rusk and Marketing Manager Dmitri Krajec. Wabash Valley FA is a cooperative, started in 1930 by Farm Bureau members, primarily to bring fuel to farms during a time when technology was transitioning from horse-drawn equipment to motorized implements. These days, it services a 10 county area in Southeastern Illinois with roughly 225 full-time employees, and deals in sales of everything from agronomy products, to liquid propane, fuel and grain systems. Alan and Dmitri talked to the students about the history and composition of the company and their customer driven approach to doing business. We appreciate Wabash Valley's hospitality, not just on this business tour, but for giving us a space to meet at their facility in Browns. Thanks to Alan & Dmitri for sharing their insights with our team. And a special thanks to Kena Steber, Marketing Assistant, for providing breakfast and coffee tumblers for the group. You guys are awesome! Thank you!
