~The Love Story of Corwin Printing~

Corwin Printing was founded and owned by Mr. Jerry Corwin in 1976.

Ten years later, at the ambitious age of 24 and 26, Kyle (26) and Connie (24) were given the opportunity to purchase the print shop from the legendary founder/owner, Mr. Jerry Corwin.

Kyle started with Jerry at the beginning; he was his right hand man. He learned the ropes early and it wasn't until 1981 that Connie came on board. She was working at a grocery store at the time, praying for a way out of the grocery line. That's when Jerry Corwin approached her with a deal she couldn't resist. He asked, "Connie, what would it take for you to come work for me?" She thought about it, told him "$2.00/hr, Mr. Corwin." He said "How about $2.10/hr instead?"

So Connie came to work for Jerry and that’s how she met Kyle, now the love of her life, then the biggest pain in her side...she said “He was PICKY and I didn't like him bossing me around." Mr. Corwin finally convinced the two to go out on a date and well, the rest is history. Shortly after Kyle’s proposal in December of 1981, they were married in March 1982.

Together, Kyle & Connie, purchased the business in 1986 after 10 years of working for Mr. Corwin. They have worked together ever since. This year, they are celebrating 40 years of ownership and Corwin Printing, the business, is celebrating 50 years of existence.

Kyle left us with 3 pieces of advice he's learned over the years of being in business:
1. Always show up
2. Always do your job
3. Always treat others with respect

He told the group that these are the simple things that people forget, but make the biggest impact.

We are grateful to have such supportive members in our community. Kyle & Connie Day have hosted the CEO Program for multiple years and have been so kind to feed the students breakfast during their visits this year and in years past.

We want to honor Jerry Corwin in his recent passing, this year, and the legacy he left in the hands of Kyle & Connie Day.
